The place: Shanghai. The time: 1921. The Japanese aggression towards China is getting stronger each day. Shaw Brothers superstar Chen Kuan Tai plays a classic heroic role, much like his previous films Bandit from Shantung and Man of Iron. The blood-soaked climax is among his best. Definitely in the Shaw tradition!
