One of the most popular film series from the early 1960’s has finally made it to DVD with English subtitles. With plenty of action, and a strong story about the growth and development of an expert swordsman, who just happens to be from an extremely privileged background. Aoi Shingo is the son of the Shogun, but he has never met his father. As a child in many ways isolated from his parents, he made an early decision to take on the solitary lifestyle of a swordsman and eventually becomes recognized as the best swordsman in Japan.
