Some of Toei's most popular stars are featured in this light-hearted jidai-geki story with a humorous touch. Handsome action hero Chiyonosuke Azuma must come to the rescue of Yae and Kiku, daughters of drapers in Edo, who must travel to Kyoto in place of their ailing fathers to attend to some business affairs. It seems that both of their fathers, who are longtime friends have both taken ill at the same time and can't trust their inept clerks to make the trip for them. On their way to Kyoto, the two ladies are ambushed by a group of bandits. However, a good samaritan named Santaro then shows up and must use his considerable martial arts skills in order to save them. This film features the always popular singing star Hibari Misora in another outstanding performance. (TV Broadcast quality.)
