 Yagyu Bugeicho #1 - 1965 - B/W - Fullscreen - Extras

Yagyu Jubei fights with the rival Yamada Fugesai and his followers over the
confidencial document which will decide the fate of the nation. Both Yagyu mansions in
Edo and in Yamato were attacked by Yamada Fugesai of the Hikita Kage school. Then,
Ukifune, one of two secret Yagyu scrolls, was stolen. The Yagyu scrolls (Yagyu
Bugeicho) are officially recognized as the written form for the secret sword of Yagyu
school, however the truth is the covenant under joint signature that Yagyu Sekishusai
collected as a special agent for Tokugawa Ieyasu from the feudal lords who were
against the Tokugawa government. Fugesai robbed this confidential document under
orders by Doi Tairo, one of the highest ranking officials in the government. Lord Yagyu
Munenori took the situation very seriously and ordered his son, Jubei to retrieve it. Actor
Konoe Jushiro, who rose to stardom in ten "Yagyu Bugeicho" feature films also takes
the main role in this made for television movie / TV series pilot episode. (No comedy
elements in this one.) With removable subtitles. This is a stand-alone episode!
