An all-star cast highlights this excellent example of a samurai era ghost story. One of the most popular of all Japanese stars, Hibari Misora headlines the cast along with the great Hashizo Okawa (most well-known as Aoi Shingo, of the SHINGO'S CHALLENGE series) in this exciting film. Young up and coming star Kinya Kitaoji, the son of mega-star Utaemon Ichikawa, also shines in an early role. Upon his arrival to Dragon Island, ronin Hazhiso Yagi, is propositioned by various shady indi-viduals representing rival gangs to lend his services to them. Branded an enemy for his refusal to become involved with either side, he soon finds himself caught up in an intrigue extending beyond petty gang rivalries, involving a plot by Daimyo in Kyoto to overthrow the government.
